A new journey into beats and trips. The starting point of this week podcast (Side A) is the new live sound between jazz and hip hop linking projects as BadBadNotGood, Rocket Juice & The Moon, J. Rawls. With this “live soulful” mood we listen fLako “Lonely Town feat. Dirg Gerner”, arriving to the pure hip hop sound with the new project of the 2/3 of De La Soul called Plug 1 & Plug 2, the great album of Ski Beatz and again the mighty Quakers.
On the Side B we landed on a dub trippy sound planet with High Tone meets Brain Damage, passing throught the obscure electronic of the new Martyn single, the more dance oriented new Montgomery Clunk album on Error Broadcast, the dreaming delta blues electronic atmospheres bringed together by Pretty Lights, untill OL from the new album “Province”, Lone single on R&S, the new Souleance and Jimmy Edgar. We finish with a great single by Kromestar “Dont Make Sense ” published by the Cosmic Bridge Om Unit label and Alex Under.

Not so easay, when you have so much new dope music to play in less then two hours. Expecially if your aim is to give the right relevance to new albums as the new Georgia Anne Muldrow, Rocket Juice & The Moon, Elaquent, Spiritual Jazz 2, Quakers, DJ Premier & Bumpy Knuckles .
So the only thing to do is make a decision. So this week we started going into deep with “Seeds” of Georgia Anne Muldrow and debut of the Quakers.

Lains for Laions Side A is a trip into time and space of black music influences around the world. We start from the soul/jazz “Jihad” of Doug Carn, passing through the new visions of Blundetto brand new album, Beat Inc. “Just Remember” taken from the “The Formula EP”, Jameszoo exploration of nature and spiritual jazz, the warm and soulful voice of Bajka… untill the funk east and middle east sounds from the 70’s of the turkish Ersen, the iranian Kourosh Yaghmaei and the indian band Atomic Forest! So do not fast seatbelt and start your journey with Lains for Laions.

Lains For Laions Side B into the Beats or as we call it here BEATTONI! From the hip hop (Eric Lau & Guilty Simpson, DJ Krush and Blundetto) point of view passing through the new rap stuff (Mister Bibal, MF Doom, preHISTORIC, Blaktroniks) electronic sounds (Jonwayne, Slugabed), russian style (Pixelord, 813), jazz and crazy cuts (Jimmy Edgar, Mandrayq, Mo Kolours)!

After some weeks away from the radio waves, Lains for Laions is back with a full crate of brand new music. A special mention to the first release of Original Cultures Records by Beat Inc. titled “The Formula EP”, containing four original tracks (plus intro and outro), plus three remixes by Om Unit, Daisuke Tanabe and Squeaky Lobster. 100% recommended by Lains For Laions!!
