THE MASTER
The quality (volume, frequences and dynamic) of a cutted vinyl
is determinated by some very important feature of the master.
The master that will be transfered must follow the following peculiarity.
In case some of these infos will be not respected we'll do not
guarantee the exact copy of the master on vinyl:
- Less music for each side, higher volume, deeper and wide
groove. 12 minutes per side on a 12" at 33 rpm
is the max lenght for a good quality vinyl.
- In case you will use normalizer, plug ins or simply you
have a master with to much high frequencies we will be forced
to limit the higher frequencies. It exists a physical
limit of the stereo groove, as far as the playback needle
is not able to interpretate the groove correctly
(expecially the spherical stylus). The result is a distorted
sound on the higher frequencies.
- If you must normailze, please do it for every single
layer or better for each single sound. Please do
not normalize the final track.
- The BASSES under 150/300 Hz must be recorded in
MONO. If the basses under these frequences are in
stereo we are forced to cut the full track in mono and not
stereo. The basses under 150/300 Hz are cause of the needle
skip (the groove is discontinued) and distorsion problems.
- In order to have not problems on low and high frequences,
it's really very important a careful listening during
the mixing of the track. Please listen with a standard
and well known audio system with an high volume.
